In Cape Town, the Group publishes a daily 'red-top' mass market tabloid, Daily Voice, and mainstream titles in the morning (the Cape Times), the afternoon (the Cape Argus) and over weekends (the Weekend Argus Saturday and the Weekend Argus Sunday) as well as weekly community newspapers.
The Group's flagship title, The Star, is published in Gauteng along with the Saturday Star in Johannesburg, the Pretoria News (which includes a weekend edition) in Pretoria and the Diamond Fields Advertiserin Kimberley. The Gauteng operation also publishes the Sunday Independent nationally and holds interests in 12 free/community newspapers in Pretoria.
In KwaZulu Natal, the Group publishes the Daily News, The Mercury, the Post, the Independent on Saturday, the Sunday Tribune, the daily Zulu language newspaper, Isolezwe (which also has a Saturday and Sunday edition, Isolezwe ngoMgqibelo and Isolezwe ngeSonto respectively, as well a interests in a number of free/community newspapers which are distributed in and around Durban.
The wholly-owned magazine division, Condé Nast Independent Magazines, has performed well in a difficult trading environment, with Condé Nast House & Garden continuing to be No. 1 in the South African home decor market. Glamour remains the second largest selling fashion and beauty magazine in South Africa and is the largest profit contributor in the division. The launches of GQ digital in November 2010 and Glamour digital in October 2011 have been successful, with higher than expected advertising revenue.

The iol.co.za, portal is one of South Africa's leading news, current affairs and classified sites and it, together with the Group's individual newspaper titles and other niche sites, now comfortably delivers over 2.1 million unique visitors per month. During the year 2011 IOL built nine new title sites, seven mobile sites and iPad and iPhone news apps.
South Africa's largest property website, iolproperty.co.za, established during 2008, is the leader in terms of both search capability and houses for sale and to let, with over 230,000 homes listed on the site.
ioljobs.co.za, has become the second biggest website after news. Utilising world-class matching technology this site attracts 200,000 users per month, has 70,000 registered candidates with full resumés and lists 11,000 job advertisements.
