RiskMetrics Recommends Shareholders Vote FOR Resolutions at EGMs on 26 November

Dublin/London – 11 November, 2009: Independent News & Media PLC (“INM” or the “Company”) today announces that RiskMetrics Group, the world's leading independent proxy advisory firm, recommends that shareholders vote in line with INM’s recommendations and FOR all of the four resolutions being put to shareholders at two Extraordinary General Meetings (EGMs) on Thursday 26 November 2009.
