Preliminary Results Announcement Date

Independent News & Media ['INM'] today announces that it will issue its Preliminary Results on 27th March 2008, and not 19th March, as originally indicated in its December Pre-Close Trading Statement. This change of date follows discussion with the Company brokers and is designed to ensure that the Results and subsequent investor meetings and roadshows do not straddle the long Easter holiday period.
