Irish Multichannel Acquires Suir Nore Relays

Princes Holdings Limited, which trades as Irish Multichannel (IMC), today 2nd March 2000, announced it's acquisition of Suir Nore Relays Limited, bringing the number of customers served by IMC to 250,000, an increase of 20,000. Suir Nore Relays provides cable service in the towns of Kilkenny, Clonmel, Thurles, Cashel and Tipperary, and MMDS service in counties Kilkenny, Tipperary, Carlow, South Laois and South Offaly.

The inclusion of Suir Nore Relays with IMC will bring synergies and benefits to all involved and integration of the two companies and their staff will begin immediately. Plans for expansion of the organisation and the creation of additional employment are already well underway.

IMC plans to roll-out it's digital television services during the second Quarter of 2000. The digital TV package on offer will include a 20 channel access pack, with up to 60 channels available, including movies, sports and special interest packs, unlimited e-mail addresses, internet browsing on the TV set and free telephone line rental, all for less than
