Dublin/London – 3rd November, 2009: Independent News & Media PLC (“INM” or “the Company”) today announces the results of voting at the Requisitioned Extraordinary General Meeting (“EGM”) of the Company held on 3 November 2009. Shareholders voting in person or by proxy defeated the two resolutions proposed by a nominee acting on behalf of Mr. Denis O’Brien. This was in line with the Board’s recommendation.
