Board appointments at Independent News & Media PLC

The Board of Independent News & Media PLC is pleased to announce the appointment of two new non-executive Directors to the Board - Mr Charles Daly and Mr Tony O'Reilly Jnr.

Mr Daly is Executive Director of the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation and a Director of Princes Holdings Limited.

Mr O'Reilly is Chief Executive of ARCON International Resources, P.l.c. and a Director of Providence Resources P.l.c., Waterford Wedgwood plc, Fitzwilton plc and Lockwood Financial Group.

Mr A.W.B. Vincent has retired from the Board. Mr. Vincent, who has joined the Board in 1990, is currently Vice Chairman of the Ireland Funds.
