Sir Anthony O'Reilly
Chief Executive

Sir Anthony O'Reilly is a former Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of HJ Heinz Company. He was a member of the board of the New York Stock Exchange. He is also Chairman of Waterford Wedgwood plc. He has been a Director of Independent News & Media PLC since 1973 and became Executive Chairman in 2000. Following a decision by the Board in 2004 to separate the roles of Chairman and Chief Executive, Sir Anthony O'Reilly continued as Chief Executive of the Group.

Gavin O'Reilly
Chief Operating Officer

Gavin O'Reilly was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Independent News & Media PLC in 2001 and was previously Managing Director of Independent Newspapers (Ireland) Limited. He is also a Director of APN News & Media Limited and News & Media NZ Limited. He is president of the World Association of Newspapers. He joined the Board of the Group in 1997.

Dónal Buggy
Chief Financial Officer

Dónal Buggy is a chartered accountant and was appointed to the Board of Independent News & Media PLC in 2002 as Chief Financial Officer. He was Group Financial Controller since he joined the Group in 1996 from PricewaterhouseCoopers. He is also a Director of News & Media NZ Limited and APN News & Media Limited.

Vincent Crowley
Chief Executive - Ireland

Vincent Crowley was appointed Chief Executive of Independent News & Media - Ireland in 2002. Previously he was Finance Director, and later Chief Executive, of APN News & Media Limited. A chartered accountant, he joined the Group in 1990 and became a Director of the Group in 1997.

Ivan Fallon was appointed Chief Executive of Independent News & Media (UK) Limited in 2002. Previously he was Chief Executive of Independent News & Media (South Africa) (Pty) Limited. He joined the Board of the Group in 1995.

Brendan Hopkins
Chief Executive - APN News & Media Limited

Brendan Hopkins was appointed Chief Executive of APN News & Media Limited in 2002. Previously he was Chief Executive of Independent News & Media (UK) Limited. He became a Director of the Group in 1990.
